More Log Cabin Blocks

Well it turns I need to make more blocks.  I need to add another two rows to the length.  This really is the never ending quilt.  Well I had 11 extras, found two partially made on the floor behind a box near the ironing board.......so IF I get the maths right this time I need to make another 11.  The finished size will be 107 x 130.  I did get the border fabric which is a purple/blue/with a smudge of teal.  Very yummy.  But I'm having a break from this one.  The customer won't be using it till around May so it can wait a while.
Border Fabric for Log Cabin

Normally I spend my Christmas break sewing for myself and playing and pretending I'm going to finish some UFO's.  But this time I spent it doing the Log Cabin.  So today is my turn.  Got out some dotty fabric I got ages ago.  Designed it ages ago and made one block (which for some reason is hiding).  So today I'm sewing for pleasure for me (well for a pattern but still pleasure).

Michsel Miller fabric - Kiss Dot

Australia is sweltering today......I think everywhere but here.  We will probably be around 29C which is 84F and we have a strong breeze blowing.   Further south it will be around 40C - that's 104F.  Out west it will probably reach 45C - a whopping 113F.  Add in the humidity and it's just horrible.

So I had better get to the sewing room and have some fun.

I'm in the UK, been quilting for just over a year, and enjoying every minute. Nice to meet you.

Hi Maggie! Stopping in as a new follower. Loving how that Log Cabin has come together & totally appreciate that it feels neverending! :-) You're doing a great job though. Probably a good idea to take a break from it for a little bit & enjoy playing with a different project. Keep up the great work!
